Lucila Saldaña

Lucila Saldaña is a first generation Chicana artist, educator, activist and storyteller. Her work primarily focuses on her identity and her surrounding environment. Her inspiration is rooted in her mothers love for crafts and upcycling. She is an educator within the Chicago Public School system where she curates contemporary curriculum to challenge and engage her students.  Her work has ranged from drawings and paintings to fiber and materials and has sprinkled in some podcast hosting as well. Her different medium interest is forever changing but is currently in love with cardboard and plaster.
